Content description
Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College to William Wyndham, for £272 17s 6dand the surrender of the foregoing, of the moiety of the manor of Hanging Langford and a copyhold tenement, less the moiety of the water mill, and excepting the several pieces of land now intended to be taken by the Wilts Somerset and Weymouth Railway Company. From Old Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rents £5 19s 7d and 263 gallons 1 quart of wheat and 522 gallons of malt or their money equivalent, for the site of the manor of Hanging Longford, and 12d and 2 gallons 1 quart of wheat and 4 gallons 2 quarts of malt or their money equivalent, for the copyhold tenement, together with £9 1s 4d in consideration of the redemption of land tax.
