Thurlby, Lincolnshire: Quadripartite indenture
Item
23 June 1733
Quadripartite indenture, between John Massey, of Holbech, yeoman, of the first part, Henry Everard, of Spalding, gentleman, of the second part, Stephen Weston, esquire, son of the Right Reverend Stephen, Lord Bishop of Exeter, of the third part, and the Bishop of the fourth part. The tripartite indenture of 5 March 1730 is recited. Default was made in the payment of the mortgage money and interest therein mentioned, so that the estate became absolute at law in John Massey and the reversion and inheritance in fee simple vested in Henry Everard who has now sold the same to the Bishop. There is now due to Massey upon the said mortgage £210. This indenture witnesses that Massey, for £210, has, with the direction of Everard, assigned to Stephen Weston the premises.
