Content description
Joseph Pare, Bourn, to Dr Tew, Eton College, asking that before the fine becomes due he may be given six months notice, "and as near as you can calculate what the sum will be, money running very thin here". He paid such a price for the estate that he thinks it will never bring him interest for his money.
Seal, oval, 18 x 14mm, red wax, applied. Armorial, paly on a bend three quatrefoils. Mantling and crest a (?) lion passant.
