The Attorney General, at the relation of John Blair, rector of Burton Coggles, co. Lincoln, and the said Blair in his own right, plaintiffs, versus Mountague Cholmeley, esquire, administrator of the will of the late defendant, John Cholmeley, esquire, deceased, John Hopkinson, George Nidd and John Green, Lord Bishop of Lincoln.
Deposition of William Smith, of Thurlby, woodman, taken at Grantham in August 1770, relating to woods in Thurlby and Burton Coggles.
The Bill and Answers, dated 1762, with later amendments, are preserved in the Public Records Office (C.12/1011/1). There are various orders and a report of Easter 1770 (C.38/624) sets forth in detail the tythes which are in dispute.
