Admission, at a court on 23 April 1685 before William Peisley, esquire, steward, in the presence of Henry Godolphin, Vice-Provost, of Robert Morris, of Bledlow Ridge, to a messuage or tenement in which John Rance lives at Bledlow Ridge, and a virgate of arable, pasture and woodland comprising Home Close, of 5 acres, adjoining the messuage, Seven Acres Close adjoining the common of Bledlow Ridge on the south and Powe Lane on the north; a close called Gostes, of one acre, next to the common on the south and the land late of master Sale on the north; and all those parcels of woodland called Coomes adjoining Gostes Close, of 3 acres; and all those other parcels of land in Hawfeild, of 8 acres; and all those two lots of arable and woodland in Le Dean of which one lies in second furlong and is commonly called Black Acre, the lands of John Hill lying to the north, and the other lies in first furlong, of one rood, against Butlers, adjoining the free land of John Alte; and all other copyhold lands of John Alte in the field called Deane. The premises had been surrendered by John Alte, of Bledlow Ridge, out of court on 28 October 1682.
