Admission at a Court Baron on 19 September 1740 before George Proctor, esq., steward, in the presence of Stephen Sleech, clerk, a fellow, of Edward Mead, by Joseph Burnham, his attorney, to a messuage wherein John Whitborne dwelt at Bledlow ridge and 3 closes of arable called Home Close, Worthy's and the Ball, with woodground adjoining Worthy's and 2 pieces of arable in South Field and 3 pieces of arable in the Dean and 2 cows' commons in Goswell meadow, the premises containing 18 acres, conditionally surrendered by Thomas Carey on 27 September 1738.
