Title
Bledlow, Buckinghamshire: Valuation of Bledlow estate
Level
Item
Date
30 October 1761
Extent & medium
2 folios
Content description
A valuation, with analysis, of the Bledlow estate, from which it appears that, from lands let to tenants and from the profit of the woods, the College tenants must receive about £321 a year, including quitrents. Land tax in all £42 16s. College rent at an average £65. The fine for renewal is calculated at £293 15s.
As the lands lie chiefly in large open common fields without any marks of distinction, but especially as the tenant has an estate of his own in the parish, it would be advisable to have the estate surveyed and the College property more distinctly ascertained.
