Lovell Badcock, Parsonage, Wendover, to the Rev Mr Betham. "It cannot be doubted but I must accnoledge the kindness of a landlord who raises my fine £150 and I must asure you that however experienced Mr Palmer may think himself he has very much overrated the estate to you and I give you my word of honor that it dont produce any thing equal to his estimate. However, as I find all remonstrace of no avail I shall take care to place the money in the hands of Messrs Hoare..."
