Item
Date
4 November 1827
Extent & medium
2 folios
Content description
Henry Dixon, Oxford, to Rev George Bethel, bursar. He has been searching in old papers and has at last found the Bledlow Plan. There is certainly no notice taken of the piece of waste land between the College homestead and the public house, but he well remembers the commissioners deciding it had better not be allotted. Is of opinion that such peices of land are as much under the control of the College as lords of the manor as any of the waste lands were before the enclosure.
Seal, curved rectangular, 18 x 15mm, black wax, applied. Armorial.
