J J Harper, Bledlow, to Rev George Bethel. Mr Dashwood informed him on Friday that the day before at West Wycombe petty sessions a complaint was made that Harper had moved the pound onto a road he claimed to belong to the College. The magistrates advised the road surveyors to pull down the pound. So a party of ten or a dozen have done so. He regards this an "an anomaly in the jurisprudence of this country," has informed Mr Tindal and hopes that the business can now come before the Quarter sessions.
