John Hollier, Thame, to Rev George Bethel. "I should not be disposed myself to place much reliance upon any representation of Mr Harper's." Annotated by Bethell: "On a personal inspection of the woods on 9th October I found not less than one third of the Dean actually cover'd with underwood at this present time, a pretty strong evidence to the truth of the statement that his part of the property was woodland."
