Item
1509 - 1547
1 manuscript
Pedigree of Maud Wykes, giving, that is to say, her issue. She had three daughters.
(1) Rose, who married John Chapman, and had issue Elizabeth Chaplan, an idiot, who died without issue.
(2) Elizabeth, who married Henry Keyn, sold her part of her sister, Rose, and died without issue.
(3) Isabel, who married Thomas Bonare, and had issue 1. John Bonare, who died in her lifetime, and and had issue Katheryne Bonare who married Ralph Smyth and 2. Stephen Bonare, of no substance, who had issue Thomas Bonare, heir to the third part.
Maud, by a deed of 1481-2, had granted the lands at variance to William Besells and others, and afterwards by her will declared that Besells and other should make estate of the same to her three daughters in tail, and, if they should die without heirs of their bodies, the lands should be sold, but the will does not show by whom they should be sold.
The lands are in Chinnor, Henton and Bledlow. Reference to two fines, the will of Rose and a conveyance by Thomas Bonare and Elizabeth, his wife, to Richard Hamden and others dated 1509-10.
