A note on the foregoing. "... The College set the last fine £460 when I suppose no favour was intended. At that time eleven years were expir'd, value two years and 7/10 of a month's income above rent; which according to this advertisement should have been at least £538. But if the College did intend to give away the odd time, and the odd money, still the estate was undervalu'd £30 per annum. For it yields £261 17s 2d per annum above the College rent. The same advertisement makes the quantity of land about 550 acres. But the terrar annext to the great lease makes it but 397..."
