Indenture of lease, by the College, upon surrender of the foregoing, John Dix, of Witney, blanket-maker, and Vincent John Shortland, of the city of Oxford, esquire, Jonathan Arnatt, of Lee in Bampton, gentleman, and Thomas Barton, of Market Harborough, co. Leicester, wooldstapler, of the site of the rectory or parsonage of Cogges, co. Oxford, with all lands pertaining thereto and all rents and pensions from the late suppressed abbeys of Evesham, Osney and St Frydeswydes in Oxford, and a fulling mill there. Excepting courts leets and the perquisites of the same, and all great trees, and one chamber with a little yard adjoying, which shall be the dwelling place of the chaplain or curate for the time being. From old Lady day last for 10 years. Rent 45s and one boar or 20s and 1296 gallons of wheat and 504 gallons of malt, together with £26 15s in consideration of the redemption of land tax.

Endorsed with a memorandum, signed by John Roberts, that the Provost and College, patrons of the curacy of Cogs, have assigned to the curate the yearly sum of £15 in order to obtain the Royal Bounty for the augmentation of the curacy.
