Content description
Counterpart of lease by the Provost and College, for £723 12s and the surrender of the foregoing, to Samuel Taylor, of Leamington, co. Warwick, of the site of the rectory or parsonage of Cogges, co. Oxford, with all lands pertaining thereto and all rents and pensions from the late suppressed abbeys of Evesham, Osney and St Frydeswydes in Oxford, and a fulling mill there. Excepting courts leets and the perquisites of the same, and all great trees, and accommodation for the curate or chaplain of a homestead buildings yards gardens and orchards near the church containing 5a 1r 34p, to be appropriated for his mansion and dwelling place. From old Lady day last for 10 years. Rent 45s and one boar or 20s and 1296 gallons of wheat and 504 gallons of malt, together with £26 15s in consideration of the redemption of land tax.
