Content description
Indenture of lease, by Master John Higdon, doctor of Divinity, dean of Cardinal's college in Oxford, and the canons of the said college, to Sir John Norton, of the parish of Milton, co. Kent, Knight, of all the marsh ground called the Flashe lying in Lodenham marsh within the parishes of Lodenham, Owre and Feversham, co. Kent, containing 83 acres more or less. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent 5 marks. Dated at Oxford.
The common seal of Cardinal's college, red wax, on a doubled tag, the sides broken away.
Endorsed that on 3 December 1529 the lessors granted the lessee permission to sublet or alienate the premises.
