Annotated and corrected draft of indenture, of grant by William Heather, of Westminster, esquire, doctor of music, for 10s, to the Provost and College of an annuity or yearly rent charge of 58 from two messuages and two barns with two garden plots and two orchards and two parcels of land adjoining, containing in all 4 acres 1 rood in the parish of Chislehurst, co. Kent, which he had lately purchased from Henry Ellis and John Firth by deed indented, bearing date 11 April 1626. To hold upon trust for the increase and bettering of the commons of the fellows, singing men, scholars, choristers and servants of the College on Thursday before the day of election of scholars at their several tables in the College Hall, with so much meat and wine at the discreation of the bursars as shall amount to the several sums of money hereafter expressed, viz. for the fellow's table 4s 4d, for the singing men on gentleman's table 8s 4d, for the scholars table 13s 4d for the servants table 2s. in the forenoon of the said Thursday a sermon to be preached by a sufficient and fit scholar, for which hs is to receive 20s, and twelve poor persons, such as usually receive alms at the College gate, to receive 12d apiece.
Apart from attending the service and sermon, the scholars to be free on that day to play and recreate themselves.
