Content description
Appointment of Thomas Cherlton, William Swanlond, William Naffreton, John Hervy and the sheriff of Middlesex (rectius Wilts), upon information that men and tenants of the prior of Okebourne (Ogbourne) in that county have withdrawn their services and confederate to resist the prior and his ministers, to cause proclamations and notices to be published, in all places in the county where expedient, requiring them to render obedience under pain of being adjudged rebels; with power to punish them at their discretion and compel them to render their customary services.
