Copy, temp. Elizabeth I, of agreement between Walter de Lichelade, rector of the church of Mapuldram, co. Hants, and the abbot and convent of Dureford, with the consent of master Robert, the vicar, concerning tythes; by which the abbot and convent are to be immune and quit from the payment of all tythes on their possessions hitherto acquired, save those on all gardens except on the old garden which is within the close of the monastery of Dureford, on which the abbot and convent have not hitherto paid tythe. In recompense, the abbot and convent are to pay yearly in the greater Church of Petersfield 30 to the said rector, to which they have bound themselves and all their goods, submitting themselves to the jurisdiction of the bishops of Winchester and Chichester for the performance of the same.

(2) This coppie I (presumably William Day) had sent from Dr Wright, B. of Coventrie and Lichefeild. [Robert Wright was Bishop of Coventry and Lichfield 1632 - 1643].
