Content description
Copy of an order made on 5 December 1639 by the Commissioners for defective titles. Day presents a certificate dated 25 November 1639, subscribed by doctor Wrenn, Dean of Windsor, and eight of the Prebendaries, declaring that they make no claim to the tythes which belonged to Lewes, but only to the portion sometime of the abbey of Bec. Ordered that for a fine of £20 Day shall have a grant made of the tythes in question.
