Transcript of Letters Patent of 2 May 1640 granting to frankalmoign, for £20, to William Day and his successors, vicars of Mapledurham of the tythes known as the portion of Lewes in Mapledurham, viz. two parts of all tythes great and small divided into three parts on the demesnes of the manor of Gurnay, that is on 200 acres of arable and 100 acres of pasture and 200 acres of le Parke and 4 acres of wood, of the total yearly value of 20 marks. And the said portion of tythe is to be annexted to the said vicarage.
