Copy of award, by Samuel Angell, referee, of 18 Gower Street, of £950 as compensation to be paid by the London and Birmingham Railway Company to the College of Eton for 0a. 3r. 28p of land in Hampstead situated on the north side of the railway and lying between the bridge at Chalk Farm and the entrance to the tunnel; of which 0a 2r 23p is let to Mr Samuel Cuming under agreements of 5 August 1844 and 1 January 1845 for 99 years at progressive rents (specified) and the remainder to Giles Clarke, esquire. The apportioned rents to be deducted are set out. The matter had been referred to the referee by Philip Hardwick, esquire, on the part of the Railway Company and John Shaw, esquire, on the part of the College.
