Content description
Humble petition of the townsmen of Chattisham to the right worshipful master doctor Savile Provst of Eton and the Fellows, requesting that whereas by reason of the non-residence of their late minister, one Mr Harman, who is placed in the parsonage of Bucclesham, worth £50 per annum, they, the College tenants, have not had any service for seven weeks together, the College should bestow the preferment of the benefice upon Mr Kettle, the bearer hereof, who "is verie honest learned quyet and religious and both of good reporte and reputacion".
