In the suit of the Provost and College of Eton against Helen Foster, widow, relict of John Foster, late of Eton, clerk, vicar of Datchet, concerning the latter's will; testimony of the parties and of John Plat, of Dotchet, gentleman, of the age of 40, Richard Budd, of St Botolph's without Aldersgate, esquire, of the age of 60, Bernard Hale, of Datchet, yeoman, of the age of 48, Thomas Bringly, of the city of London, gentleman,of the age of 32, Rose Budd, wife of Richard Budd, esquire, of the age of 43. The deceased left £30 or £40 for the maintenance of 10 poor Eton scholars, 5 at Oxford and 5 at Cambridge.
