Content description

Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College upon surrender of a lease for three lives and for a sum of money, to Philip Francklyn, of Marlborough, co. Wiltshire, gentleman, of the same. For the lives in survivorship of Thomas Ivie, Elizabeth Ivie, his wife, and George Ivie, their son. Rent 40 marks and 20 marks in rent corn viz. 6 quarters 2 bushels of wheat at 6s 8d a quarter and 45 quarters of malt at 5s a quarter or the true value thereof in ready money according to the prices in Windsor market, at the election of the lessee. Other provisions as before (including the attorneys).

Witnesses: John Seede, John More, clerk, John Bullocke, Richard Power.
Seal, red wax, on doubled tag, a bad impression.

Endorsed that seisin was delivered by George Huntley, esquire, on 14 August in the presence of:
John Seede, John More, vicar of Hullavinton, John Bullocke, Richard Power, Richard Harbert, Thomas Alden, Walter Collman, John Cullock (possibly Bullock).

Endorsed further that at the time of the sealing Thomas Ivie was of the age of 41 years or thereabouts, being born and christened at Hullavington; Elizabeth, his wife, was 31 or thereabouts and was the daughter of George Huntley of Boxwell, co. Glouc. esquire, George, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth was 8 or thereabouts and was born and chirstened at Hullavington.
