Frank W Bayly, Warminster, to Thomas Batcheldor, answering the latter's letter of 21 February on behalf of his brother. The sum of £198 18s 4d proposed to be paid by the Railway Company for land severance is quite inadequate. "To cut the matter short, you must calculate my brother's interest as if you have obtained £300 per acre, then add one year's interest at 4 per cent to the amount, and forthwith forward me a cheque for the sum total. No other terms can be agreed on by him."
With pencilled endorsement of Batcheldor's answer.
