Content description
J B O Bayly, Boreham, to the Rev Thomas Carter. "The buildings at Middleton are now completed and will I believe bear every inspection. I have expended between fifteen hundred and two thousand pounds in the erection of them which leads me to hope that the Provost and Fellows of Eton College will think the sum of a hundred pounds which they offered me too small, more especially as they received a short time since about six hundred pounds for lands taken from me by the Great Western Railway Company."
