Content description
J Lenthal, Priory, to the Rev John Norbury, Bursar, pointing out the disadvantage to himiself and the College, in the event of the enclosure of Fulbrook, of accepting an allotment of land in lieu of tythes. For the College (as well as the Bishop of Oxford) owning no land there, has no farm buildings, and the buildings of them would be a great outlay. The draft answer of the College is written on the letter, and agrees with Lenthal. Mr Palmer, who surveyed the estate in 1774, is going to attend the meeting on behalf of the College and opposes the measure.
