Attested copy of indenture quadripartite, 20 March 1777, between George Viscount Townshend, the only surviving son and heir of Charles, Viscount Townshend, deceased, by Awdry, Viscountess Townshend, his wife, of the first part, George Townshend, Baron de Ferrers, the eldest son and heir apparent of the said George, Viscount Townshend, by Charlotte, his first wife, deceased, of the second part, Thomas Townshend, of Frognall, co. Kent, esquire, Richard Jackson, esquire, and Henry Drummond, of Charing Cross, esquire, of the third part, and Thomas Beevor, of Hethell, co. Norfolk, esquire, and the Hon. Charles Vernon, of Corke Street, co.Middlesex, esquire, of the fourth part. Appointment and settlement by Viscount Townshend and Lord de Ferrers of their several estates in Norfolk, Cambs, Warwick, Staffs, and Derbs, including Shipdham.
