Content description
W R Earle, Great Marleborough Street, to the Provost and Fellows. Has head from Mr Brookland, the Registrar, that there is a full meeting of the Society. If his attendance in Parliament did not make it impossible, he would himself have waited upon them to treat about his fine for renewal. The fines he has heretofore paid have much exceeded a year's rent. Considering the present increase in Land Tax, he would be surprised if the College were to think of increasing the fine. The value of the lands in the whole neighbourhood is much fallen in the last forty years.
