Content description
Draft of covenant by Henry Godolphin, Provost, that Henry Legassick, of Modbury, gentleman, shall be admitted to an estate there for 21 years from Lady day last by copy of Court Roll, notwithstanding a lease made by the College of their whole estate at Modbury for 20 years from Michaelmas last to John Hanson, of Eton, gentleman, (in trust for the Provost only), with power to the said Hanson to grant all estates belonging thereto usually held by copy of Court Roll, as heretofore used by Sir Edmund Fowell and other former tenants.
