W Wilshere, junior, Hitchin, to Thomas Barnard, esquire, 13 Holborn Court, Grays Inn. The reserved rent payable by Sir Charles Radcliffe (of Hitchin Priory) bears so great a proportion to the produce of the estate in lease that the arrear cannot be reduced so fast as he would wish from that fund and there is no other. He hopes to remit one year about the middle of January and to add half a year as soon as possible. (College lands at Pirton).
