Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College, to John Snowden, of New Windsor, grocer, upon surrender of his former lease, of an inclosure called Deanfield, of 10 acres, a grovett called Culverhouse Grove, of 2 acres, a piece of arable called Culverhouse croft, of 2 acres, a piece of wood ground called Shepcot Grove, of 1 acre, an inclosure of arable called Shepcot field, of 12 acres, an inclosure of arable called Ley field, of 10 acres, a piece of wood and arable land called the Clapper, of 2 acres, an inclosed meadow the East side thereof and the South head adjoining the Ley field, of 2 acres, an inclosure of land and wood called Hill field, of 18 acres, 3 roods of wood the West side and South head abutting on the said field, and a croft of land and wood called Bubbers croft, of 2 acres, with all appurtenances, except all timber trees, endorsed as Sawyers in Hitchendon
From Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rent 26s 8d, and 36 gallons of wheat and 144 gallons of malt, or their money equivalent.
