Indenture of lease, by the Provost and College, to Moses Lovett, in Wingrave, yeoman, his only child, for £50 5s 4d and surrender of the foregoing. By reason of the alterations occasioned by the removal of Comisaries' hedges, embankments and other subdivision fences, and the alterations in names, the premises can now with difficulty be identified by the old descriptions and are now described as follows: a close of arable called Gread Dean Field, of 8 acres 34 perches, a closeof arable called Little Dean Field, of 2 acres 3 roods 25 perches, a close of arable called Sheepcut Field, of 11 acres 2 roods 20 perches, a close of arable called Great Clappers Hill of 11 acres, 3 roods 24 perches, a close of arable called Little Clappers Hill, of 6 acres 1 rood 18 perches, a close of arable called Short Lee, of 3 acres 2 roods 13 perches, a close of arable called Long Lee, of 3 acres 2 roods 19 perches, a close of arable called Little Bubbles, of 1 acre 2 roods 30 perches, a close of meadow called Bottom Meadow, of 3 acres 12 perches, several closes, pieces or parcels of woodground adjoining Great and Little Clappers Hill and Sheepcut Field, of 12 acres 2 roods 16 perches, and a close of woodground called Little Bubbles Wood, of 1 acre 9 perches. The premises were occupied by Daniel Tucker, now deceased, then by John Tucker, his son, and then by John Lovett and Moses Lovett. From old Michaelmas last for 20 years. Rent 26s 8d, and 36 gallons of wheat and 144 gallons of malt, or their money equivalent, together with an additional £2 14s 8d in consideration of the redemption of land tax.
