Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College to Edmund Waler, of Colesell, co. Herts, gentleman, upon surrender of his former lease, of all their woods, underwoods, hedgerows and springs growing in the parishes of Beconsfild, Hedgley, Stoke Poges, Farnham Royall and Penne, co. Bucks, and the same in the parish of Cookeham, co. Berks; except 200 timber trees in the former which shall be sealed out by the lessors during the next 8 months, and all such great trees as are growing upon any of the several grounds in the tenure of William Deane, of Penne, and Thomas Baylie, farmer, of Poughleies in Stoke Poges and Thomas Kember, of Cookham, which have not been usually felled or "copised". Except 136 timber trees in Beaconsfeilde, Hedgly, Stoke Poges, Farneham Royall and Pen, and all the trees growing upon the farm of Poughlys, now in the occupation of Thomas Urline by virtue of a lease to Thomas Bayly, deceased. From Michaelmas next for 28 years. Rent, in such convenient place as the College shall think meet, between the first day of March and the last of September, 240 cart loads of Bavin, 70 loads of Tallwood, 90 loads of Byllet, 3 loads of Busshes for hedging and 1 load of Ashe timber meet for hoops for "bruinge bessils", and 20d for each load. Further provisions about the delivery. The College will pay 20d for each load. Provisions concerning felling. The lessee to make a terrar to be delivered to the lessors at the end of the term.
