Simon de Bredon, Archdeacon of Chichester, at his visitation in the church of Lenemenstre on 19 October 1355 received 6s 8d in part payment of 10s from Sir John, vicar of Lenemenstre; also, to the completion of the said 10s, he allocated 40d on the part of the prior Darundell, having the church of Hampton in his own use, to the said Sir John in the name of yearly pension, which had to be paid in the chancel of the church of Lenemenstre, as contained in a composition by the reverend father the lord John, bishop of Chichester.
