Content description
Copy of return by Edward, bishop of Chichester, to a writ of the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer. Search has been made in his registers and other evidences and it has been found that the Provost and College of Eton hold the churches of Lunemenstr' and Warnecamp, Clympyng and Palyng and certain temporalities taxed under the name of the Abbey of Lucerne and have held them for the tme of his episcopacy viz for 21 years, and in each of the said churches from the time of their appropriation there is a vicarage founded and endowed.
