Pirton, Hertfordshire: Counterpart of lease

Counterpart of lease, by the Provost and College, to John Hammond, of Pirton, gentleman, upon surrender of the foregoing, of the site of their moiety of the manor of Pyrton with all the demesne lands belonging, also the moiety of their two woods there called Odyngsylles woods, and all manner of rents and profits appertaining in as ample manner, except all perquisites of courts and leets and the keeping of the same, but reserving the great trees. From Michaelmas last for 21 years. Rent £14 4s 5d and 10 quarters of malt or their money equivalent after the rate of Windsor Market, and 20 sheep (or 6s 8d each) and one boar or 33s 4d.
