Certificate of Contract for the Redemption of Land Tax, Burmham and Oakley, co. Beds, by William Hooper and Anthony Danvert, clerks, Commissioners appointed for the purposes of the Act viz. contract with the College for the redemption of them of:
(1) £34 17s 9d Land Tax, being their share of the Land Tax charged upon a messuage or farm house and farm and 128 acres 24 poles of land occupied therewith, and 21 acres 18 poles of glebe land in the parish of Bromham, also the great tithes arising within the said parish, together with sundry farms and lands belonging to Viscount Hampden, which premises are assessed in the assessment for the parish for 1799 jointly with the said farms and lands belonging to Viscount Hampden in his name as proprietor, in divers sums of money amounting together to £177 16s.
(2) £18 Land Tax, being their share of the Land Tax charged upon a messuage in the parish of Oakley and the Rectorial Tythes arising within the parish and glebe land thereunto belonging with sundry farms and lands belonging to the Duke of Bedford, which are assessed in the assessment for the parish for 1799 jointly with the said farms and lands belonging to the Duke of Bedford in his name as proprietor, in divers sums of money amounting together to £90 2s 10½d.
The consideration of the redemption is declared to be £1939 4s 2d capital stock to be transferred to the Commissioners for the reduction of the national debt in 14 payments from 1st February 1800 to 1st May 1803.
