Content description

These large vellum-bound volumes, entitled Bursars Books, contain only rentals and arrears (tituli 1-3). They are fairly written, perhaps the stage before the final draft. Most entries have been initialled by a bursar, and there are occasional calculations and alterations. Three of the volumes appear to have been revised to some degree, with the dates in the headings changed to a later year and some alterations in the entries to reflect this. By the last volume, fewer individual entries are initialled, although groups of entries are usually marked in some way.
