The Revd. Thomas Skinner (vicar of Christchurch) to Charles Van, Llanwern, near Newport: the Bishop considers Van's proposal for an exchange of lands fair, and Skinner himself consents, but the College must also consent since church lands may not be alienated by a single life-holder. He is advised to make his demand for the tithes of Prior's wood in the Court of Llandaff and to put the College upon showing their exemption.
