Roberts to the Provost [Joseph Goodall]: he summarises the agreement made by Bold on behalf of Eton College with Evan Morgan of Newport for building the sea walls under Goldcliff, and repeats Bold's words about having found an overseer in the person of Waters of Newport. He hopes to get to Eton despite a sever attack of gout, and will then learn the Provost's opinion of the Goldcliff arrangements.
