Sons of Sir William Cavendish, Henry (1550 - 1616) and William (1551 - 1626, 1st Earl of Devonshire) entered on 21 October. Their mother was Bess of Hardwick, later Countess of Shrewsbury, but at this time wife of Sir William St Loe, captain of the Queen's Guard. See DNB for further details.
