Has not changed his mind after their talk. A great readiness here to welcome him. None of that hostility to a newcomer which people who do not know Eton naturally expect. His great difficulty when appointing masters is always to convince people that it is the least narrow and exclusive place of education in the country.'I'm certain you could do a big job here'. Thinks he is the best person Eton could get.
