Content description
Durnford's efforts to get the Pemberton boys `a good berth'. Surveyor for dilapidations has overlooked settlement in his new house at Creeting. Floods going down. Oscar Browning's dismissal; hopes this is the end of it but he has friends including Knatchbull-Hugessen, 'a very silly fellow'. His house will not be taken over; the Governing Body have relaxed the rules and Walter Durnford will be able to take the boys. RECIPIENT: Pemberton, Richard Laurence, 1831 - 1901
