Apologises for the short and abrupt letters of late and reminds her that on Sundays they have no time at [Banghden?] and as for the Saturday, he missed the post. He is convinced that he gets deafer every day and that there has been a great change in his hearing. States he is waiting for a [?] of her novel which he hopes shortly to se. Discusses reading ‘Old Mortality’ and ‘Guy Morning’.
