Content description
From Margaretta Farm, to Margaretta. Dr Brown's friend Hoseason called him the coach having struggled as the roads were all broken up by the frost. Says he will not discharge her brother William's debt both to Walkers of Edinburgh and to Greenwoods whose letter he copies in. He asks Margaretta to show it to Dr Keate for his valued opinion. William died leaving multiple debts and Dr Brown is not prepared to pay them, blames Greenwood for advancing money without asking. He has written a civil answer but is anxious.
