Margaretta Brown: Letter from Fanny Keate
Item
4 August 1803
On the outside in pencil 'the day after her marriage'. She writes they visited Hampton Court and saw the gardens and three or four good paintings. Hopes to reach Salt Hill in a couple of days and there see Miss Keate and Mr Robert Keate. Please can Margaretta put out her straw hat? She couldnt help thinking of Margaretta while at dinner as there was a pig snorting in the yard in just the same way she laughs. 'Jacky Keate' has added a note detailing who should partner whom at the Ball that is being given for them.
Addressed to Miss Brown at the Revd Dr Goodall's Eton Bucks.
