Has badly sprained his ankle slipping on a stone. Praises the matron, but criticises her insistence on having lemon squash full of salt. Descrbes seeing a large regiment of soldiers. The Queen has just come back to Windsor from Scotland. Claims Tom Moss will get a birching and is always in mischief. Provides a list of the boys in his house. Describes why a boy, [Robert Harold Whetham] Jaques, was birched and then sent home. Trials are coming on soon. Describes a match. Contains illustrations, including one of a match. Passage football is allowed in the house, but not in any other.
