Administrative / Biographical history
Bevil Warington Smyth was at Eton 1917.3 - 1922. He was the son of Herbert Warington Smyth and had two brothers, Nigel and Rodney, and a sister. The Betty referred to in these papers is presumably this sister; there are also letters addressed to his mother Amabel. His father was brother of Sir Nevill Maskelyne Smyth VC, 1868 - 1941, and a cousin of Baden-Powell's.
